Side Extension in Mid-Terrace House, Barnet
We replaced a small, outdated rear extension with a side return in this mid-terrace property in Barnet. By extending just 1.3 metres to the side and slightly beyond the footprint of the original rear structure, we were able to create a remarkably spacious kitchen.
The new layout features a bright and airy open-plan space with a breakfast bar, exposed structural beam, and a high, sloped ceiling that adds character and height. Underfloor heating throughout ensures the space feels warm and inviting—combining modern comfort with architectural charm.
